THE ASTONISHING STORY OF THE MAN BORN WITHOUT ARMS OR LEGS

ETNA'S ERUPTION

An ash cloud from Mount Etna's latest spectacular eruption has forced the closure of Catania's airport in eastern Sicily.
The airport said it would remain closed at least until Monday evening. Several flight departures and arrivals were canceled, and at least two flights were diverted to Palermo's airport in the western part of the Mediterranean island.
Etna is Europe's most active volcano. Its latest series of eruptions has lasted for weeks now, occasionally causing a change in flight routes. The eruption hasn't forced evacuation of the villages on the mountain's slopes. Its last major eruption occurred in 1992.

PEACE DAY

The "School Day of Non-violence and Peace"  is observed on January 30 or thereabouts every year, on the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi, in schools all over the world. Its basic and permanent message is: "Universal love, non-violence and peace"
But what other things can you relate to peace? Can you name a place, a person, an animal, a colour, a feeling that you associate to peace?

I HAVE A DREAM

When we talk about Martin Luther King's life we usually mention his famous speeches which used to be followed by millions of people. Here you have an excerpt of his famous speech, with the trascription below.

"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed. "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal. I have a dream that one day out in the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.I have a dream:  my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.I have a dream today.I have a dream that one day every valley shall be engulfed, every hill  shall be exalted and every mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plains and the crooked places will be made straight and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together"
